I know that some of you have already upgraded to IPOR seats, but I still wanted to inquire as to your opinions on the vinyl vs. velour. I know there's a HUGE discrepancy between vinyls (ie: crappy vinyls, and super nice MB/VW vinyls), and the same with velours.
I'm interested in tossing a set into the Toylet sometime soon along with some heated seat pads, and want to make sure they last a long time. Since there doesnt seem to be a warranty...what's the recommendation?
Oh yeah, I've got dogs.

Finding that they are Procar Elite 2000 seats which seem to be quite popular in numerous fields.

Oooh!!

Been interested in these too.

I had these seats in my Last FJ62...and Iam plan to order them again! I had the Vinyl and they are very high quality!

They list at $265 each.

...and what about the quality? They really look nice (got more photos?)
Last thing I want is in two years for them to be looking ratty and cracking all over the place. Some vinyl hold up well like the Mercedes vinyl, while some is cheap garbage that cracks easily.

Sorry, I don't have any more photo's, but I've always love them, IMO they are worth the money and should hold up very well.

Vinyl

We have had the black vinyl IPOR/Procar seats in the 62 for a couple of years. We daily drive the 62, have dogs and the truck is also a trail and farm rig and hauls lumber and tools, firewood etc. a lot. No backseat so the IPOR seats are exposed to all the cargo. The seats still look like new aside from the hay bits and dust and dirt. Dog claws don't scratch or tear the vinyl. No cracks or tears anywhere. Very pleased with the investment. Truck still even has that newish car smell from the seats.

PS MMW...SWEET rig, man. :drool

Don't encourage him, he doesn't even have it anymore!

Seems to be holding onto the memory.. still has the old POS as an avatar :flipoff2:

(it is a sweet rig!)

I tell you about down the road but I love the vinyl for the short time i have had them. I love the fact you can just wipe them down and remove the greese and oil that I get into working on my truck and the mud when running it. I dont thing the cloth would be as good. This is by far the best comfort mod you can do to your truck.

who makes the console? it looks nice?

Damn that's totally worth the price. My stock seats were KILLING me on my first three hour drive out to the beach a couple weeks ago. It sounds like uncomfortable seats are part of the cruizer experience, but I'm not too proud to swap in something cush like those puppies.

Yes. Mine had one hole out of the 8 in both sets that was a fraction off. I just enlarge the hole slightly ( one drill bit size) and it worked perfect. Will take you 30 min to remove and replace both sides. Less if you have air tools.
