Hi, everyone. New to the boards here at 'Mud, but I'm a long time lurker. Just bought my first Land Cruiser last week, and so I figured it's high time I jump on in here!

I want you all to know about a rally that Central Overland is hosting in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas next weekend. Yeah, I know it's late in the game, I'm sorry, but I figured better than than never, right? :D Info about the event can be found here. I think that some of you have already signed up and we're anxious to see you up there. If you have any questions, just give me a holler. Thanks.

Looking forward to meeting many of you all out at your events in the near future and picking your brains about the LC platform. I have a lot to learn, I know.

Thanks for having me. All the best.

Wes

Damn you! I was almost done with a 10 page paper and read this... Now i've gotta start on a roll for the next uhh... 10 pages :flipoff2:

But, if we wanted to join in for a few miles but not camp, would you be up for that? I'll have a stock yj trailing me and want to keep it safe for him but offer an environment where he feels capable and not under prepared. I.e., its his first time out and i'm unsure of his ability/vehicle capability and would rather not hender the group.

p.s. whats the route look like? if you have a capable group co rd 19 is pretty awesome. when its slick, a rear diff lock isn't optional any more.

Thanks for the interest, j.

We will be paralleling the Buffalo River, from Hwy 65 all the way to the Dixon Ford above Boxley. We'll camp two nights along the way. This weekend is not really about the trails, though, as we'll be on maintained, gravel county roads almost the entire time. This weekend is about the campfire, the history/hiking/dining stops along the way, and the general beauty of the area. If you dropped into our convoy, I couldn't stop you, and you'd likely have some fun. But you'd be missing the best part of the trip, which will be around the fire pit over dinner and drinks.

Look for upcoming events, though. We're always planning something!

Thanks again, and good luck on the paper.

Wes

Wes,

I'm not sure what i'll be doing at this point, but i do plan on hitting erbie on saturday night for camp and go from there. Have an itenarary for your camp sites? I'd love to chill with you guy's for a few!

My peers have pretty much backed out since it's mothers day and the weekend before finals week.
