Hello all,

Newbie here. My name is Phillipa. I was introduced to wheeling only last year and loved it from the get go. Kind of had to put it on hold for the past few months as I got pregnant and it makes the bumps a wee bit uncomfortable.

I have purloined the significant other's HDJ81 as my DD. In our fleet, we also have a BJ74, a BJ70 (parts rig at this point), an FJ45 (which may soon be sold) and an HZJ79 (which we will be rebuilding to be my new boot around on my own vehicle.) Like that'll ever happen with 3 kids.....

I am up in Calgary AB and have made alot of friends in the RMLCA. I am hoping to learn as much as I can about these trucks so that I can assist more in the upkeep - helped lowenbrau with some maintenance on the BJ74 recently, and eventually just maybe be behind the wheel on some of the runs we go on....

Did I run on too much? ;-)

Hi! I'm Dani and I'm in Austin, Tx. Always loved LC's and picked up a '75 FJ40 back in April. We played around in it a little bit when we got it, but now it's undergoing some restofication. Removed the hard top and cut out a lot of the roll bar for better access to wiring, which needed a full overhaul. The wiring is almost finished, pulled out a bunch of crap and started over with Painless. Adding parts to get him legal. Really excited to see things start coming together. Hope to have it legal this weekend, just in time for the cold weather and rain down here. Oh well!

Hi there. Elle here. Newbie at wheeling. Actually started riding passenger/"up and coming spotter" last year on our 69 FJ40. Have completely fallen head over heels with wheeling. Live in Santa Clarita (SoCal) area but have been fortunate enough to jump up to Washington to wheel up there.

Got my first shot at driving up at Tahuya (WA) last week. And yep, for my first time, it snowed. Epic.

Have been going to the TLCA L.A. meetings a bit and can't wait to learn more, wheel more, and eventually get myself a lil Sammy or 4 runner to start working on. ;)

welcome.

as much as i love sami's (they're just like baby fj40s;)), i'd avoid them just for the lack of aftermarket parts still available.

That is something we've been talking about. I'm familiar with Suzuki just because I owned a sidekick a while back and became familiar with it, but we are thinking more and more about an early 80's 4runner, or getting a later model and swapping out the IFS.
