I've got Aussies now. I've owned/used Aussie since I guess, 2005 or 2006. You hear the clicking, but it's not a big deal.
I think Aussies will work fine for you, but Spartans are just like Aussies just with bigger dowels.

If you do not want the "ratcheting" sound... you're gonna hafta go with ARB.

MFSOB...why do we have to talk about the ARB situation...that 1300$ + or - price tag is rough

I wanted a mechanical that was relatively smooth...no one has experience with the Richmond no slip?

If I didn't drive the cruiser on the street somewhat often I'd get a spartan or an Aussie...

Aggghhhh...maybe I'll just get a spartan...

Go with the Aussie in the rear. With an auto you will just about never notice it and it's cheap and easy to install.
