Hi All

I'm new to this board, and to Toyotas. I picked up an 80 pickup last year. I've been driving a 79 Bronco (full size, solid axles) for about 10 years, I'm enjoying the better mileage of the Toyota but miss the room and comfort of the big Ford.

Anyway, this seems like a great board for info. I'll be lurking in the background. Later.

That is an incredibly cool paint job. I love the look of your truck. Very nice.

Thanks for the welcome. I bought the truck from a kid who did all the work on it, including all the lights and he did the camo paintjob himself. I haven't gotten around to playing with it yet other than basic maintenance.

I think the truck is pretty much stock. It's got a weber carb, 31" pro comps (not terribly fond of 'em), 4 speed / 20R, 8 ( ) fog lights, upgraded alternator, and a big air horn. I think the air horn is my favorite upgrade :grinpimp:

The clutch went out right after I bought it and my son's class replaced it at the HS autoshop. As a result I've got a brand new, installed only once Centerforce clutch laying around if anyone wants one cheap - they counldn't make it work and ended up using a stock replacment, so I ended up buying two clutches.

Anyway, I've got a few more questions I'll be throwing out once in a while. See you later.

how much ya want for that centerforce?

how much ya want for that centerforce?

I paid $235, I'd love to get $125.

Like I said, the kids couldn't get it to work - they couldn't get it to disengage, I think. They even tried to modify the slave cylinder rod before giving up. I don't have the original box, so I can't confirm the part numbers.

The orange part (that's technical speak, sorry :D ) is marked with LC 03KD 033A

The other part is marked with TYD085U in one place and 5B08 on another.

Let me know what you think. Thanks.
