Just picked up an 08 with 125k on the clock
Immediately got new wheels and 265/70 17 wildpeaks

can confirm this wheel tire combo rubs a little in reverse.
Ill be adding they toytech .5-.75 spacer shortly. I hope this is enough to stop the rub

Welcome to the forum and the GX470 cult!

The rubbing with your tires and wheels could be resolved by adjusting the caster.

This Toyota expert fit 285/70R17s on stock wheels on an FJC and says you can do the same on a GX470.

I follow his advice pretty religiously!

yeah, i wanted to reduced offset, having the tires closer to outside of the fender. I also wanted to level the trust anyway. If the 3/4" doesnt do it ill start messing with caster.
