Here's another storage idea....




 
I've been using a combination of stack-able boxes from Rubbermaid and the Ridgid Pro toolbox.
I like the Ridgid system (others make similar) due to the hand truck and the fact you can mix & match.
I lift the hand truck into the back then stack inside the cargo area.
The hand truck isn't too useful of mud or rocky terrain (it's OK on hard earth) but I take it to the shooting range and other places like campgrounds where there might be a concrete pad or long walkway.

There's an open basket available for it too that I leave on the top.
