Actually my dad try to order some. They are moving their operations back from China to the U.S. Once they did that, their workers went on strike. I have heard they are hurting for money, but I believe if interco folded somebody would buy the Super Swamper brand.
Pirate had a whole article about why they were short tires and where they were setting up shop. I cn't recal when I saw it.
It sounds like there is a lot of official talk about what InterCo is doing and we are getting conflicting info. Either way, bad news for either moving the shop out of the country or loosing thier main manufacturer.

Here is the story. A factory in Ohio by the name of Denman Tire Corporation has shut down and Denman was a major supplier of some of our tires. Denman also manufactured other tires of various brands that will also be affected. We anticipated something like this could happen someday so we diversify our production. It takes time to move equipment out of one factory to another but we have already started the process. We will experience shortages of some sizes and types but this will be temporary.
This factory has been caught up in the difficult economic situation the country is experiencing but everything at Interco is OK.
I sincerely appreciate your inquiry and welcome any future inquiries so we can keep the record straight. Since this news broke we have been humbled by the hundreds of phone calls and emails we have received from very concerned off-roaders and dealers.

SO a little bit of both Cacy and my thoughts were right. out of business and changing plants, INterco is safe. I still want LTBs. I had them on a cherokee I was messing with for a year or so and I loved them. Wish they made a 36 or 37. Only 35 for now.
