Hi Everyone. I have a 1997 Prado KZJ95 with the 1KZ-TE and live in the US, so finding parts can be a challenge. I need new front axles and I'm trying to determine what other vehicles, if any, have interchangeable parts for my Prado.
I typically use toyota.epc-data.com to source parts. When I find the part, and then click the "view toyota xxx part on diagrams", it lists the same part for the following vehicles:
Toyota 4Runner
So according to this, the prado shares the same parts as the 3rd gen 4runners and Hilux surfs. But I'm wondering if anyone has had experience ordering parts for a 4runner or surf for the Prado? The front axles through amayama shipped to the US are super expensive, but finding the axles for the 4runner and surf are much more readily available and a lot cheaper.
Would be great to hear others experience sourcing parts for their Prado.
