I just got a 2004 LC which does not have the "Sat" button on the radio for an integrated XM set-up. Is it possible to get a 2005 or 2006 tape player/head unit with that "Sat" button and if yes, will it work or is the Generation of my Nav Console not compatible?

Thoughts?

I don't know if it is compatible, but I do know it's not as easy as buying the head unit.

Mine had the "sat" button but I later found out that I needed an additional box to convert the signal. I think it was around $350-ish from the dealer. IIRC.

I know, not much help but it's all I can offer.

:D

If your radio/nav unit is 'bluetooth' compatable (i.e., it will work your cell phone) then you can integrate . . .and operate from the radio/nav control.

The $300ish is for the receiver & 'fit kit' (wire harness)....

See http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php

(Note a lexus is a land cruiser prettied up with some neat gizmos, but a lot of the radio/nav is same)

bump post... this looks like a cool device for XM radio listeners?

What do you guys think?
