I'm looking to insure my 1975 FJ40 but I'm having trouble finding anyone willing to insure me. Its a 1975 sprung over with a 3B + 5speed swapped in.

I was wondering who everyone uses for insurance (for vehicles that have lifts/bigger tires ect)

Thanks,
Stephen

been with state farm for years, no questions asked, they saw pics of my modded 40. it's got basic coverage, then fire/theft over the offseason/winter time. i was going to try silver wheels but it's not a resto'd bone stock 40 and as soon as they see that it's a wheelin rig, it''ll be a no sir!
...if that helps any. g'luck!

Thats funny. I could see if it was because of the lift or tires, but why the diesel? i go through a broker, but my 40 and 62 are pretty much stock running 33" and 32" for tires.

Ya perhaps I'll try a different agent and see what happens...

I'm mostly just worried that if I don't disclose modifications that they'll deny me coverage if I'm ever in an accident. I'm only really looking for liability coverage as I'll be fixing the truck myself should anything happen to it...

Silver Wheels for my stock BJ42.
Snake Farm for my heavily modded FJ40.
Having said that, I'd suggest that you either try another Snake Farm agent of a Kingston area broker called Guardsman.

Good luck.
