I just discovered that my Japanese HJ61 has lap belts only in the rear. Yikes!
Does anyone know if the HJ C-pillars have mounts for shoulder belts?
Does anyone know how hard it is to install shoulder belts ( I figure it can't be too hard but thought I would ask).
Also, if I am going to install shoulder belts, I thought I might as well use the safest ones I could find. Does anyone know if there are any safety feature differences b/w 60's 80's and 100 series trucks? And will they all fit in my 61?
Thanks,
Sean

you can get rear shoulder belts for the fj-60's. they should bolt right up. i just installed a set in a '87 fj-62 (this year model did not come stock with shoulder belts).

That's a shame, Because Iam concerned about your safety of your family, Iam going to offer you a even trade for my FJ62 - which does have rear belts! :p:p

Do a search here on mud, there is some install threads about this. I did this on my last fj62, and I might even have a set of rear FJ60 shoulder belts for you in my parts stash...

That's weird that you mentioned a trade because I was wondering if someone would be willing to trade trucks. Riggggghhtttt!

Thanks Mark, but Jason (Arcteryx) has a set for me. If they don't work out for whatever reason I will let you know.
Thanks again, Sean
