When I got my '98 HZJ70 there were a couple of stickers around the driver - one on the door and one on the side of the dash (visible only when the driver's door is open).

I removed them when I got the truck because they were unsightly and written entirely in Japanese. Now I'm wondering what they might have said. Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers,
Dennis

Never thought of that one. I would have guessed that there'd be something about when and how to push the DIFF LOCK and 4WD buttons.

OK - for the bonus round - what does the yellow sticker under the rear side window say? It's positioned next to the ashtray. A rear seat passenger might bump it with the side of his thigh.

Cheers,
Dennis

Someone should get all the factory decals translated, literally. I hope someone takes this thread seriously, i would like to know myself...

Mudnip translated mine to say that (roughly) "this vehicle will handle differently than a passenger car and you should expect it to maneuver differently: possible roll over hazard may result."

the other was relating to shifting into 4wd saying not to engage the electric hubs while in motion.

Could any of our Aussie friends snap a pic of the 70 series glove box decals? Perhaps we could copy to stick on some of the JDMs.
