Attention Arizona Recreationists!
Just a reminder the second round of meetings for the Coconino National Forest Travel Management planning process will be held in November. During this second round of meetings participants will work in small groups, expressing their ideas about motorized travel on specific area maps. The maps will be in a large enough scale to recognize existing roads, trails and other landscape details. The emphasis will be on gathering all ideas and comments for all the areas of interest instead of trying to reach a consensus on each area.
Objectives for these meetings are to provide the forest with information on travel management needs, changes and opportunities that should be considered during the implementation of the Travel Management Rule (TMR). Also to gain an understanding of other forest user's perspective on changes, needs and opportunities as well as an understanding of agency considerations that need to be incorporated into the TMR implementation process.
This is the chance to have your ideas heard and to let the FS know what is working and what is not with the current management of the Coconino National Forest.
The November meetings will be held at different locations and times, see schedule below for the workshop nearest you.
