The house smells awesome right now.

Preheat oven to 250 degrees

In a cookie pan, combine 2 cups unwashed seeds, 1/2 tsp Worchestershire sauce, 1 1/4 tsp salt, 1 1/2 tbsp melted butter.

Bake about 2 hours, stirring occasionally, or untill seeds are crisp and dry.

Mine are ready in about an houor

we did that yesterday!

Go low and slow. Seeds will change color once they have dried out.

It took about 2.25 hours.....................They are tastey!!

Great recipe!!! I'm eatin' em right now. Took about 2 hours. Thanks

bump :grinpimp:

I'll have to try that recipe. We always toasted them on a pan at 400 for 10-15 min. then salted. Always tasted like s***, but everyone pretended they came out good. Thanks for the idea!

Is it kind of like camping out and cooking on the fire..., where everybody acts like that piece of venison they just ate was the best meat they ever had...., when really it was a little too charred, rank and had the consistency of shoe leather. Then later on you start to figure out why the guy that brought it was so eager to share..., that same kind of good?

I make mine without the butter. I add old bay seasoning to the salt and leave the seeds in the brine. Then I bake them until the water evaporates and the seeds turn that golden brown color. Crispy and tasty!

Exactly how i do it:doh:

Followed nat's post, except added a little franks red hot sauce to the butter, melted then added. Cooked for the first hr, mixing as needed. Then added some taco seasoning. Stirred, let bake for another 1 hr. Done and the bomb.

I can't cook worth chit, but the :princess: is going to buy another pumpkin... to carve... and to make more.

Cool deal!
