Too much to do...
Some of you may have heard, some may not have, but my company is moving me to Wausau, Wisconsin. I accepted a lateral move to another plant, which will actually make use of me as an engineer, and I won't feel like just an intern anymore. Overall, this is a great opportunity for me, and although I'm moving away from my girlfriend and best friend in Indianapolis and you guys, I'll still be back every now and then, maybe even for a club meeting or something. Next week Wednesday I load up and leave for the land of beer, brats, and cheese.
I just picked out a place to stay today, met the plant manager yesterday, and am returning to Indy tomorrow. I'll be living in the massive basement of a house on a 20 acre plot that has 14 horses, several outbuildings, a pole barn to work on my Land Cruiser and store my kayaks & gear, outdoor hot tub, woods crawling with pheasant, deer, and the occasional grouse, and it's only 20 mins from work. The real estate consultant that I'm going to rent from earned the cowboy hat he wears on his head - 4 years in the jungle of 'Nam, and twice a year he goes to Wyoming to bring the 10,000 head of cattle on his friend's ranch from the mountain pasture to the valley, and back. Great guy, straight shooter, my plant manager and he are good friends, and it gives me time to find a good deal on a house so I'm not forced to make a quick, hasty decision and get screwed on rent since I didn't have a long time to house hunt.
Tony, if I send you a case of brats, beer, and cheese can I trust you to at least lie to me and say you'll share it with the rest of the group?
