I am looking to buy a Toyota Pkup for my 16yr old. (have my eye on a nice one in Myt Bch) unless anyone knows where I can look at others. Prob a 1990 - 2000 model.

OR a decent Jeep Wrangler etc. I'm not looking for a project.

Any ideas - anyone, dbenke?

Thanks

Dave, I don't hang out w/ any of the Jeep crowd, all I could do is check Craigslist.

Just remember a Tacoma with 200k miles is the same as a TJ or YJ with 75k miles. I've seen 4 cyl. and 3.4L Tacomas go over 300k all the time. Haven't seen many/any TJ's break 200k.

I'll keep my eye out for anything. I am kinda of looking for a possible replacement for my Camry as well. Someone rear-ended me Christmas Eve, and I have missed my Crew Cab Tacoma every since the day I picked up this Camry.

What's the cap on price?

Jeremy

There is a really nice 02' Ext Cab Tacoma w/ 3.4l and manual 4x4 in Raleigh. He just reduced the price to $8500. It has the TRD package (locker) and a new ARB front bumper. It has 120k miles.

Where is this listed? Has to be a scam at that price?

That's the direction I'm headed; I am thinking $3k - $6k

Thanks

Matt 89's rule just posted a forerunner for sale in the upstate, near Erskine

Thanks. I think I need to pay the IRS first. Unless I run across a good deal. I have narrowed down to a 93-97 Truck. 4x4 5 spd ext cab

I just paid my quarterlys,..I hate paying taxes.
They get in the way of buying LC parts.

ProInv, sent you link for 98 4Runner that is friend of guy in Upstate...apparently is a one owner rig...280k on miles but not sure about rest.

May be a decent deal. But it has been for sale for a while

Dave...neighbor just put his wifes Durango up for sale...white...outstanding condition...I think he wants $8 or 9k for it. Not sure how set you were on Toyota but this is a nice running and looking vehicle. Wife drove it daily taking son to school and to check on their business...they own a couple Subways down here.

Don't to spend that much and sticking w/Toy for now. Thanks

You still looking? I saw another one like my old one on the back lot. I can ask if they are selling it.

You are not going to believe this...I bought a pristine 98 Cherokee Sport w/inline 6 4.0L. Interior like new, blah blah blah. Then while driving through small town nearby I spotted a 98 Taco (just what I've been looking for). Looks like I will have two new cars until I move the Cherokee.

Make sure you go and sit in the front seat and bust a nasty one in there...roll the windows up tight and leave a pair of old socks under the seat before Dave test drives it. :P

That may be why someone brought back; couldn't get that funk out.

I had a bare bones 94 Cherokee and it was one of the best vehicles I have owned....285,000 miles when I sold it and only thing I ever did was radiator, starter, change fluids, and change brakes twice LOL...it was a 5 speed with manual locks, manual windows, manual seats, no cruise control but did have AC and Stereo...it was my daily driver and hunting-camping-canoeing-etc rig.
