So I've been slowly trying to finish my basement. Made some progress today. Tongue and groove on the basement stairs. I suck with wood but I'm getting better.

I'll be looking for help on the exterior walls soon. My idea is to hang vapor barrier, put up R3 foam and firring strips and then my wood/1/4log, drywall, etc. I have already watersealed the walls with a cement paint type product. Any experts here know if this plan is ok? I know on a couple walls I'll have to use studs because I'll have to run electrical through them.

Looking at the pictures above, you completely lost me on the statements below.

The pictures are yesterday afternoons work. The other side won't take long. My questions don't involve the pictures. Questions are for the basement poured walls. Is it SOP to hang vapor barrier, then foam (R3) then firring strips and then the wood/paneling/drywall etc?

LOL!

Now I understand.

I was wondering why the heck you were going to put vapor barrier on the stairwell walls.
