my hj47 has a resonant frequency at idle--the steering wheel gets a standing wave and the whole rear end sounds like the lowest note from a pipe organ...

i cushioned the clamps that hold the tire changing tools, and cushioned the backs of the bench seats (between wood & frame)--doing those things made it MUCH quieter, but from outside i can see the body panels in front of the wheel wells vibrating as well as the exhaust in the section where the muffler is.

has anyone ever replaced the cushions supporting their exhaust?

how about dampening the steering wheel vibe?

and about the motor mounts--how long does the resilience of that rubber last?

of course it all goes away with a few hundred rpm, but it'd be nice to just hear the diesel idling gently at stop signs, etc.
