So are they still racing this weekend? Been pretty warm down here in Chicago lately. I was thinking about driving up to see my buddy in Neenah on Saturday and was thinking about checking it out.

Hell yes!! I did a snow dance Sunday night and got about 2". I'm doing it again tonight hoping for 2" more. Last Sunday the bay we race on had 17+" on it and ZERO snow. Now that we have some snow I will be able to make the course with some banking for at least markers. The weather is supposed to be beautiful, the ice is great. Come one come all!

Woody might show, Niner will show, we are hoping for a nice turnout. There is a tent set up with food and refreshments. There are motorcycle, gocart and sled races also.

Next weekend is in Neenah if you want to come for that one. There is a band in the tent after that one. Sonic Circus, they are supposed to be pretty good.

I think next Saturday I will be attending the Chicago wrench day, they are racing this Saturday ( Feb. 6th) in Oshkosh aren't they?

I 'should' be leaving for KOH in CA early Sat morning....bummer too, since the 40 is actually assembled and ready....

it's on the lil trailer at Jon's....keys are with me, so don't get any ideas...

Too bad you wont make it Woody, I was gonna give you a shout and see if you wanted to meet up for a couple beers or something while I was in your area.

Hank do you want to pm me a cell # so I can find you?

would like to be there, the races are great fun...

course, my leaving assumes tonite goes smoothly...I won't be sleeping, so tomorrow is my 'passout' day before a 1900ish mile drive over the weekend...

considering I want to be in Vegas in time for the SuperBowl, and would like a few hours of sleep Sat nite, I'm pretty sure my 7am planned departure doesn't jive with the ice race schedule ;)

If it wasn't an event as cool as KOH I'd be offended, not that it would stop you.
Racedirt1 we certainly are racing tomorrow in Oshkosh. I'll be plowing the track tonight. I'm easy to find. I'll either be in a black Chevy with a v-plow and whirlygig light or a black 97 4Runner zipping my way around the track in the medium wheel base unstudded class.
You have a pM.

Extreme Offroaders Rock the Bay During the Annual Otter Street Fishing Club Fisheree.

Fourty one truck entries each ran the road course style track plowed on Miller's Bay twice. Many competitors ran more than one class. Classes consist of two wheel drive cars and trucks, two wheel drive studded, four wheel drive studded and four wheel drive vehicles broken up in to short, medium and long wheel base classes. Each entry brings in $10 for the Extreme Offroaders. Proceeds are used to put on the races through out the year as well as benefit the local community through yearly donations. Some proceeds are donated to Wisconsin Off Highway Vehicle Association in the form of a yearly Supporting Organization Membership. These funds are used to secure a future for off highway vehicle recreation in Wisconsin.

Several hundred spectators came out on the beautiful sunny winter day. The wind was strong all day but the crowd grew as the day went on. The Otter Street fishing club had a heated tent on the bay with food and drinks for sale. Otter Street Fishing Club presented a generous donation to the Extreme Offroaders for bringing out participants and spectators.

Thanks to the awesome volunteers the race went smoothly and was completed early in the afternoon. Extreme Offroaders showed up and volunteered for announcing, registration, timing, recording, flagging, helping on the track as well as set up and take down. With out these volunteers these great events would never happen.

The Extreme Offroaders will be hosting our second ice race of 2010 on Febuary 13th in Neenah WI in conjuction with the Payne's Point Hook and Spear Club Fisheree.

----Dirtracer1, good to meet you. Glad you made it.
