I had no idea that Wisconsin had it's own land cruiser club...

If there is a website out there or you could send me info, let me know, we are interested.

We have a 77 FJ40 that we restored last year...turned out good, still a work in progress...Now a huge work in progress. I broke it...I forgot that my fiance had connected the oil pressure gauge, so I wasn't paying attention that it was showing no oil pressure..and the next thing I knew, there was a horrible sound comming from under the hood, I thought it was the fan hitting the shroud at first...after assessing the damage...the rod bearing went, then a connecting rod went...I think it made my fiance cry.

Now we want to do a total rebuild, not our selves...Do you know any local, meaning Wisconsin or Minnesota, repair or machine shops that specialize in Land Cruisers...We know we could do it ourselves, but we do not have the time, nor the facilities to complete this within a reasonable amount of time...

Any suggestions would be helpful. Just point us in the right direction.

Thanx, Liz

HAD a club is more like it....ridiculously inactive, couple guys have said they were gonna kick it back off, and haven't done it as of yet....

Poser on the forum is in MPLS and does lots of Cruiser work, probably the closest for you.

Also, finding a doner motor outta be relatively easy....quite a few people ditch their 2F motors relatively cheap, a run thru the sale corner might net ya something....

I have f & 2f parts & complete engines in the Green Bay area let me know if I can help
