Made the short sighted mistake of selling this beaut last year

for a diesel truck while i finished up my other projects.


Well last night the gf gave her blessings on selling her 08 ford escape so that we could build another landcruiser/purchase one.

Ya, the SC is alive and well now. Still needs a few finishing touches but i am driving it to work just about every nice day here lately as it still has no AC plumbed.

I am talking with a few people locally and here on mud trying to see about trading my gf's 08 Ford Escape towards a lightly built 80 or either totally stock fair condition 80. I cringe at the thought of having to do another front axle job(reasons i should have never sold the first one)

Considering 60 series as well, but the gf can't drive a manual yet and with the SC in the driveway im not exactly running to teach her yet


There are a crew of Mid-South Jeep or Spider off road guys who meet up at the weekly thursday night bartlett cruise in...we need to see more landcruiser up there

I probably won't be there this week, but there are usually a huge crowd of old school hot rod/classics guys then a few imports scattered here and there with the occasional rock crawlers

If you guys have a heads up on any used parts for an 80 series. Lift/armor/interior/bumper related ill most likely be in the market.

I've got a good lead on a 95 Dark Green Toyota 185k w/lockers and new ac components i should be looking at tonight or tomorrow. It's not ideal but he's offering a good bit of cash on top of trade for our ford escape.

did you ever get another 80? anyone going to go back on thursday nights when it gets warmer? CVS took a chunk of the area but still plenty of room. I know a few MSJ guys and would be happy to rep the 80 crowd, even if she is a stocker with lockers.

Got married June 22nd...gf at the time said 'why did you ever sell the landcruiser i want it back' so i married her...


We are currently looking at this..intake and air box are all brand new...EMU lift appears to be brand new...it's a 94 so it has a billion miles on it...appears the heads been done at some time recently. looked like RTV around the cam seals or front cover. front and rear lockers...with a center diff button in cab(seen this on the forums and thru slee for years but never seen it in person before)


Only concerns i have so far is that there is a bearing kit in the back (i haven't looked at closely) need to figure out if its got potential axle/diff issues fairly certain its a box of new parts for a diff.

The coolant line that runs just over the exhaust header heat shield had puddled a bit of coolant i noticed at the elbow in that bend.

The lexus blew up in Saint Louis on track a few months back...and has recently received a new heart....went from LS1 to Cammed LS3...should be running in the next few weeks.

Was down in Hattiesburg last weekend and saw one same color and year. Sweet looking trucks-if I'd found a maroon, green, or black one when I was in the market, I'd be driving it.

We are on to looking at used GX's and 4Runners...

Performance is sitting both a V8 4runner sr5 and a GX right now :/
