So I got 4 free Humvee rims and tires and need to mount them. That leaves me a couple of choices buy adapters to go from 8 lug to 6 orcut out the centers and press in new. Opinions?

my bud Mike Nie cut his out and put in new centers. seems to be the cheaper way to go.

How did he cut them out?
He has a real good welding buddy and he cut them out with his plasma cutter.

Yeah that's what I was expecting. I don't know anyone who is good enough with the plasma cutter to do that. If I could make a jig that held the plasma cuter and cut them out then I would be ok going that route. My option now is going to a machine shop and having them do it and that's gonna be at least $100 then $69/insert then time to dial them in and burn them on. I guess that still only puts me at $400 I am just worried about welding them I'm perfectly straight.
Check with Ryan. I think he has a plasma cutter.
