how much can you trim your taurus fan?

I moved my rad. foward because my engine is pretty far foward and in the final fitting process my hood ended up hitting my rad. (big ) well how much can you trim width wise off a taurus fan ? i need atleast like an inch or so, so i can move me rad. back to the stock postition so i can close my hood.

Put a flat edge across the shroud and measure in to the clip that holds the blades on. That's how much you can trim. Mine is pretty close to that.

You also don't need to have the electric centered on either the rad or the engine. Mine is up and over a touch so the motor clears the water pump pulley

I lowered my stock radiator by ~1" just by clearancing the bottom part of the channel that holds it and drilling new mounting holes in the flange. Might be an option for you.
