It was quite rusty (shocker) and traded in on a ~3year old Cherokee Chief in the mid 80s

Yeah me too watching that, dad did (almost) all the filming (Super8 camera was heavy I’m sure) so 99% of the footage is mom driving, which makes sense as it was her daily driver all those years.

Started off new year with my wonderful wife admiring new pond and greenhouse location at sunrise. It was less expensive to build new pond than haul dirt for new house pad.

Gonna be great 2026, hope it’s same for everyone here!

Spent a great afternoon with son helping my dad out at his shop, got my little lathe project complete as well.

We have been trying various things to loosen the three 90mm nuts off his excavator rams, succeeded today.

Farmall was having issues, seemed locked up but came free with a chain, was running fine a day ago…not sure what is up yet.

Greatest part of “So this is 40” is where they talk about how they would do away with each other. Paul Rudd tells his wife he would use a wood chipper!!

Well we got a wood chipper today!! Hopefully tomorrow we play!

To top it off fella selling mentions he has stump grinder he is going to sell. Used a couple times, going back in couple weeks to get it.

Have all we need to clear woods!

Mom’s 81 birthday today, a great family visit tonight.

After dinner dad had some old Super8 movies converted and saved, wild to see mom wheeling the 327 powered family Pig circa 1976.

On a very sad note, we had to say goodbye to our family dog, sweet Abby. She was with us through a lot, I've never had a dog as an adult and this loss wasn't easy. Lot of tears. Ugh. kids were incredibly sad as we all are.
