Ok so my question is how the KDSS shutter valves open? I read in another forum that putting the GX in 4-low opens the valves to allow for more movement while off-road. Is this true? How does the vehicle know when to open or close the valves? I know there are at least 2 pressure sensors (high/low) and a 4-wire solenoid on the accumulator. Trying to understand how the system actually works but can't find much info on it. Like can I open and close the valves manually with 12v power directly to the solenoid?

KDSS solenoid stays open below 12 MPH. The stabilizer controller output 12 volts to the solenoid to close it above 12 MPH. It does not care hi range or low range. Its a very basic system but works pretty good.

There is a bypass harness available for GX460. He is working on GX470 version but not sure if it's available or not.

Wow straight informative answer right out of the gate. Appreciate it.
