I've been running these tacoma steel wheels on my 91 fj80 for a while. I got them when I upgraded my disc brakes, and I like them and think they look good. Recently I acquired a locked 96 and I am in the process of moving the good stuff (tires) over to the new rig. I like the look of the steelies, but I'm not sure if I want to get rid of the OEM 80 aluminum wheels. I'm interested in opinions regarding quality/reliability/performance of the steel wheels vs the oem aluminum wheels.

the steelies are fine, but the aluminum are forged and stronger then the steel. why not keep both, one set of mild for the pavement one aggressive for off road

I would, but I am selling one of the cruisers and I am trying to decide whether to swap my tires onto the aluminum stock ones or just use the steel wheels. I may just spring for a set of Duratracs.
