Honda Recon 250 runs rough.....

I sorta inherited this four wheeler and it needs a tune up for sure, and new wheels/tires. It runs fine once you get it started, but it can be hard to start. I'm thinking new brakes too.

How do I make it idle better?

A friend of mine had the same problems....they changed the plug type to NGK DPR8EA-9 ... adjusted the valves.... and richened the carb mixture screw a bit.. 2 1/2 turns out... after that all was cool..
