After Cruise moab I went to Big O Tire in moab and had my tires balanced before the long drive home. Went to remove the left rear and crap the lug nuts were on there. I have one of the big star wheel wrenches and bent the crap out of it before it came loose. I told them 76 lbs. Man even my local wrench has a huge chart that gives torque for almosty every vehicle imaginable.

The proper tool would have been helpful also. The "star" wrench or spinner is really to only speed the removal of the lugs once they are broken free with a breaker bar. Look into getting a Gorilla Wrench or any other breaker bar to first break the lugs free, then use your mangled spinner to remove the lugs.

If they didn't use a torque wrench = they are not at 76lbs.

That is where you went wrong. :D I went to a Big O once, only once. I made the mistake of taking my 4Runner to them for an alignment and was lied to about the availability of parts, over charged for them and they left one wheel snug only, not even over tightened, let alone torqued to spec. This is one of many Big O horror stories I have heard. No disrespect to any fellow board members but there seems to be a trend at many Big O's of poor service and a lack of attention to detail. Yet another reason to do your own maintenance if possible.
