Over the top beast and awesome! Definitely looking forward to seeing it come back to life!

On a side note, I figured out the BMW seat heat wiring and got them working! I'll post up how I did it a little later. Looks like you would enjoy some heated seats, brrrrrrrr.

Speaking of COOL THINGS... My ComeUp winch order arrived with some of your goodies... :grinpimp:

I bought our crane to build our house (log). One of these days I'll even get the house built, but until then I'll enjoy being able to lift stuff so easily that it's scary!

Very true. With a truck that small, will you need outriggers? Our crane is on a 13t truck, and without the outriggers even the 100 lbs ball can shake the truck pretty good if I don't put the outriggers down.

Dan

Yeah, the hiab crane i have has been on the back of an old Scania, but me and my father built it into a "hook-lift" (i dont know the term for it over there) and it will serve without the crane for some time. It is now functionable, but i'm struggling to get the remote working correctly with all the air solenoids conrolling the hydraulics. It was steady with the crane, and it had ouriggers of 1,5m to the side.
as it is now, without the hiab crane:

MAN THE WHEELS ARE TURNING IN MY HEAD RIGHT NOW.... Cool find.

I have so many gears rolling in my brain too... And i am probably slaying it later, as it is very rotten... But driveline is amazing on theese!

Oh, please let me know when you post up, maybe in a separate thread? Easier for others to find the intel.
Now would be a good time to get them working, yes!

mmmmh! niice!!!!

Been working 8 hours straight on the Mog. replaced old cracked fuel lines, fuel filters, oil and filter, swapped in a electric fuel pump as the old mechanical was bad. New coolant, threw in a big battery, Wired up a glow system, got ignition working, got it primed and ready to go.
But i can only get fuel to the injection pump, nothing out to the injectors, nothing comes from the pump, except from the ip bleed nut.
The throttle lever is also the mechanical fuel shut off on this bosch pump, so i might have to dig into the pump, as it may have seized up inside.
Or maybe the old diesel has gummed it up in there.
Sounds like it as good compression after the oil change, but it wont fire on starter fluid either.
Funny thing is, when i pulled the oil pan plug, it fooled me for a few seconds.. I was thinking someone drained it.
No, the two liters of water in the bottom of the oil pan would not let any oil out. torch fixed that!

got the old block heater elements working, so i'm gonna leave it there for some time to heat everything up a bit.

At least i have about 4 hours of HD movie of me running around/in/over/under the rig trying to get it running. HAHA!

Cruising around alot this christmas, glad i can enjoy the cruiser in snowy conditions too ;)

Haha, fantastisk! Mange halvlitere må det i så fall bli, terreng-temmeren!
Skulle egentlig sendt deg litt Mack Juleøl!
Fra nå av blir det bare norsk i denne tråden!

No-butchin' ;p

Høres fantastisk for meg. Alle vil gå gale ... Jeg tror det vil være en god ting å introdusere flere kulturer her.

Had a few sets of tires to be mounted suddenly, so i mocked up a tireolatorXP2000. All just scrap metal.
Spindle over a big threaded rod, with a sliding base at the h beam for different tire sizes.
Removable handle is a long side fullfloater axle shaft.
A ome leaf was cut to make the pusher for the tire, perfect radius.

upgrade would be to have a hub on that spindle, for it to rotate easily, and a lock for it.

She got inpired, and mounted the OME kit for the 73 with very little help from me!
It gained a full 2" all around, and the stumpy 73 is now a more comfy and solid ride.

You can also see the 2,5" exhaust we upgraded, makes a good difference on the 2.4L TurboDiesel.

Meanwhile, i went over the drums and seals on my FF, not bad for a 30y old setup. still has some paint in there!

This was all on my birthday, and i got the best gift of them all... beeing able to work on 3 cruisers on that very day ;)
OME on the 73, i did a full service on a friends 73 front axle, they are waiting a kid so i thought it was a fine gesture, went over my brakes, mounted 8 tires and changed lots of oil. probably a barrel in total. Bonus was that the oil from the transfer i serviced almost a year ago was smooth. I was suspecting a bit more shavings since i welded the gears on the input spline, but no. Sucsess!
