Walton Signage is a National Signage Manufacturer located in San
Antonio, TX. We are currently seeking an entry level Helpdesk Technician to handle the day to day end-user support needs.


This position reports to the IT Director


The Helpdesk Technician is the first point of contact for all IT related helpdesk calls.

Responsibilities:

• First responder to all Helpdesk tickets
• Troubleshoots software and hardware issues
• Manages Printer resolution requests such as toner and paper jams.
• New machine installation – Follows new machine checklist
• Sets up new employees in AD and Exchange
• Resets AD passwords
• Makes mailbox changes upon request
• Basic Terminal Server tasks (resetting connections)
• Runs analysis reports from Helpdesk tickets for Department Manager
• Assists Network Administrator in ongoing projects and tasks.
• Brings new ideas and creative solutions to the table.
• Installs new software per request.


Qualifications:

-Preferrably MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician)
-1+ year desktop support in a small to midsized firm.
-Ability to prioritize requests is critical.
-Must have aptitude to resolve software and hardware conflicts at the user level.
-Knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
-Basic understanding of Networking principals.
-Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange.
