How did everyone do with Ike yesterday?

Everything was OK in Washington. Some basement flooding etc... I always enjoy waking people up and tell them their basements may be flooding.

We had about 6.5" IN washington, and 5.5" on the outskirts

P.S. My favorite was the lady who came to the door at 6 am a carrying her infant with a marlboro hanging out of the corner of her mouth.

I did fine, but spent the entire day helping others who did not fare so well. On the good side, I think I may have finally got all the mud off the underside of my cruiser - after repeatedly driving through water above the bottom of the doors (I just kept moving to keep positive pressure). No water in the cruiser!

PS - I'm not sure I would have opened the door at 6am for a lady with an infant and a cig hanging in her mouth - wierd!

We were going door to door alerting of the flooding creek. (FD)

Miescha, I think you need a snorkel too. I'll drill the hole for you.
