I just noticed today that when I stepped on the gas between 40-50 MPH, my 60 started to hesitate to the point that started to lose power. What could this be?:frown:

check float level in carb, fuel filter for flow, sounds like no gas, i had same issue and it was the float bowl was drying up. adjusted float rechecked for intake leaks and found two loose manifold bolts, tightened everything up and no problems. oh i have a weber carb, don't know if it makes any difference though

I have a similar issue with my 62. No pedal! Its like I wanna stick my leg out the door and help it somehow.
Does it matter if your going up a grade, or is it flat out as well?

Mine has had the same issue and after messing with mine for over a month I pulled the carb and realized that I have a huge crack in the intake manifold. Cruiser Dan hooked me up with a new one and it is getting installed this week. :D

It does it on the highway, flat out, reduce speed and goes back to noormal.

Also I have noticed it happens at night but here the temperature stays at a "cool" 89-92 degrees.

Is there vaccuum when you remove the gas cap? There shouldn't be. if there is, get a new gas cap. I had that happen once, ran like crap. My stock carb had a hard time keeping the rig going at freeway speeds on the primary circuit. I had to put my foot into it to get the seconday to open, but then it was too much throttle, it was never happy in between. So I pitched it in favor of a Weber and a desmog and I never regretted that for a second.

I got it fixed, it was a $7.50 repair... fuel filter.:bang:
