I think this has something to do with Paul / Lomusass. Not sure but it sounds alot like his operation down south. He just might of found someone here in the States to help at this end.

krzyabncanuck is right. This is the same sheet metal that Lomusass is making. It shoulds like he has found two companies in the states to market his product. I was suprised to see SOR listed. I thought that Jonathan had an exclusive th product. I understand from Jonathan that the quailty of Lomusass products are excellent.

Cheers,

Jim

I have one of Pauls tailgates and they are outstanding workmanship. I am probably going to get a hardtop from him for my 45.

thats what she said, but when already? just give us some estimate so we can do some planning. thanks

Show the guy some respect. I don't see you droping the big money to tool up any parts.

I've tooled a few parts and I've seen the follow through from LC owners.

If he says it's coming, then it's coming. His work and products speak for themselves.

45LV's are a dying bread. How many parts at most will he sell? 10-15 if his lucky. Do you have any idea how much tooling costs????

When I wanted to have the '55 fender reproduced I was qouted over $150k just for tooling alone.

Sorry, but I can't tolerate people being pushy with someone who has done and doing so much to keep LC's on the road.

This guy has delivered in the past and I'm sure he will deliver in the future. IMO he can deliver on his time frame, especially cause he is doing you a huge favor.

wow, are we a little touchy. chill out dude. no offense, we are just trying to get some details. i am in businesses as well and am fully aware of the cost of doing business. i also understand the need to keep the public fully informed as to the products you are marketing or intending to market. we are all just very excited about what root is doing and want to hear all about it. i agree he is likely to only sell a very limited qty. and he does need to know what that level of interest is to help offset his cost.

Mer, you are coming into the LV scene at the right time. I was just like you a year ago.... Alot has happened in that year. What i've learned from my two LV's sitting in my garage is that you only have time on your side.

I also get real excited about new stuff and buy whatever comes out because in 3 years it may all be gone. You've come in at the right time... just take advantage of what comes out when it comes out and you'll be set.

No harm, no foul. The best advice given to me is to use the search feature and figure out what to do. Then do it. We are all here to work wit cha!
