Hemet Lake/ Idyllwild Trails ?

The family and I are heading up to Hemet lake this weekend (8/8) and I'm wondering if anyone has some info on trails in the area?

We have been on the Thomas Mtn. trail as far as the campground, but that's it. Any other trails in the area?

TORO PEAK is nearby; about 3 miles east from the junction of hwy 371 and 74. Just a fire road like Thomas Mtn, but there is a neat picnic area with a spring. One small 4x4 section (about 200 yds. long) just off the main road; trail veers to the right as you're going up and meets back at the trail. towards the top the scenery gets more forest like since its over 8000'. Another road at the top heads towards a radio tower. A posted sign says not to enter, but I did anyway. This ends at a parking area with a locked gate to the radio towers. I had some snow at the top when I went. Views are nice looking over Palm Springs and hwy 10. Only thing I didn't like was some graffiti along the trail. Some pieces of **** must've driven up there; so make sure you bring a firearm (I always do anyways on trips.) Some short side roads too. GOOGLE 'Toro Peak' and there are some write-ups.
