I'm in Hoover and need to rebuild the front axle's on my 80. The passenger side has begun to leak grease/s*** and I need to replace the seals and all that good stuff. So I have two questions, what all should I get (I have found so many different threads with different stuff, ugh) and is there anyone local that can help me out for an afternoon for the rebuild? I hear it's a pretty straightforward job, but I'll need a little help I fear. Thanks in advance.

Cruiser outfitters has a complete kit. Get that and ask for marlin seals. Autozone stocks the preferred wheel bearings so just make sure they do have them in stock and wait to see if you need them before you buy them. I have all the tools, you can borrow them. Lots and lots and lots of moly grease and then some more and plan in a full weekend for the first time you do it. Easy job, just long and messy.

I'll come and work my butt off if you supply gas. Oh, and i don't work in an area I'm not supposed to... so it would need to be in an approved location, not in an apartment parking lot.
I'm actually pulling my front dif this afternoon.... for the second time in a week. (Pulling the dif requires pulling the hub/shafts but not knuckles)

Hey! See if Howard is wrenching in the gump this saturday... get your stuff here by then, ask howard if he has enough room in his drive... BAM! We got a party!

Well I am starting to leak a fierce amount of grease out of the back of the axle behind the wheel out of the wipers and all that good gear. So I assume that a complete rebuild kit from Cruiser Outfitters or the other place that LS threw out there and I'm set?

I was going to work in a 'work area' of my town homes. There is a small out of the way parking lot that is where boats, trailers, etc. are parked and they encourage people to work there so long as you use common sense and don't trash it.
