Help.... squeezing noise from the steering wheel...

Hi all:

I have a '96 LX450.

Some squeezing noise can be heard from my steering wheel when I am making a turn. Did anybody experience this problem? Does something inside need a lubrication?

mine does it, only in one direction. I would also like a answer on how to fix it.

sounds like a clock spring. mine does it, too (96 lx). You have to pull the steering wheel and airbag which makes me nervous and is the reason I haven't had it done yet. Gets worse with the cold of winter coming. Probably would pay someone to do it if it were my DD, but wife says she doesn't mind and she's the one that gets to drive it during the week.
