Hi guys,
So I am restoring a 1985 BJ75 troopy.
Original interior color is beige and brown combination, truck is white and will remain that color.
The truth is I don't like the combination white truck, brown interior, so I am looking at painting all interior trim, dashboard etc to a gray/black combination.
In the parts catalog I already figured out which part is what color, but now I need to figure out color codes so I can match the paint.
From what I gathered in the parts catalog, these are the colors I need for the different parts.
- Gray/Shadow gray
- Gray/Gray
- Black/Black (this one is easy)

Can anyone help me? Ive used the search button but haven't seen any post related to this!

Thanks!
Cheers

Hello,

Pre-1999 trucks' trim color was "brown" or "sable" as per the parts catalog. Parts in this color are discontinued.

The current trim parts' color names are referred to as
  1. Oak.
  2. Light gray.
  3. Slate gray.
I am not very clear about the difference between light gray and slate gray.

From what I have seen,
  1. Oak parts include an -Ex suffix on the part number.
  2. Gray parts usually have an -Bx suffix.
  3. Slate gray parts have an -Sx suffix.
Oak is used only on select market trucks. Gray seems to be the color of choice for most markets.
