13 LX 570 here. I just finished washing my truck and noticed a leak in the rear of the car. Attached is a photo, I’m wondering if this is a rear shock leak or could more simply be from the pressurized automatic wash.

what is behind that hole?

“I think it’s just a ladder support. It is hollow all the way through. Probably just got some water in it that has mixed with the grime.”

“It’s water from the wash. That transverse tube goes to the other side of the truck."

"Nothing to worry about. It's just a hollow hole that goes to the other side of the truck."

Responses from 200 owners on another platform, thought I’d update the thread with some potential answers. Not sure if there are any nearby components that could have dripped onto this location, though.

I doubt it's a leak. I'm forever forcefully rinsing lots of sand out of that cross-tube after driving on the sand roads in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The wash water continues to drain out of there for a while after a wash. Do you have sand/mud in the middle of the tube holding water/gunk?

Leaking frame fluid there. There's no hope, all the essence of the cruiser is lost. ;)

There is nothing that can leak in there or into there. It is a hollow tube that goes from one frame rail to the other. It's just leftover water from your car wash.

I've wondered what might be useful to try to store there in that space. Perhaps could have a pressure fit or magnetic cap of sorts to store say a fishing pole or dune flag. A wild hair says to maybe even weld a flange on to make it a pressure tank.
