Pinning this so we can all be aware of why I set this group up:
Eric had meningitis a while back which caused a complete failure of his sinus wall. They patched it but it would not hold back the pressure from his CSF fluid. This resulted in him needing a shunt installed in his brain that drained the excess CSF down into his abdominal cavity. Recently Eric was having pain and went into the UAB hospital in Birmingham and they removed the shunt and found he had a bacterial infection of his CSF. This means they had to remove his shunt and start treatment for the infection before installing a new shunt. Eric has a dog boarded which needs care (possibly a temporary home). He has expenses associated with his RV. He also has mounting medical bills.
As we all know Eric is as good as a person gets. I don't want to sit by while someone like Eric suffers. This is our chance to help. Rick Carswell offered to collect money in his paypal
