New Member here, just picked up a 2011 Land Cruiser. I came from a 2010 4-Runner (had 4 of them) and was an active member on T4R.org. Good info on here already, seem like a good site.

welcome.

your gonna luv this rig.

Congrats and welcome, Sinister!

This place has a ton of info on it, and a crap load of non truck stuff which is awesome. I will get some photos up soon, couple guys on T4R also wanted some too. Ill try this weekend if its nice and post em up. Thanks for the well wishes.

Congrats and welcome !

I have a couple of questions.

What are the main differences that you noticed while driving both vehicles ?

Also, is it true the 4runner has a much more floaty ride while the cruiser has a slightly firmer and more balanced ride compared to the 4runner ?

The real main difference of course is that AWESOME 5.7 V8. There is no comparision between power. Although the V6 was pretty good when you mashed the accelerator, the LC is just smooth power at all stages. I had the limited with the XREAS suspension and 20" tires so the ride was firmer then the LC is with the KDSS but the LC is by far a better vehicle (not taking anything away from the 4runner). I think it also has a lot to do with the weight of the LC and the 18' tires. The KDSS keeps it pretty smooth through out the turns, but the XREAS and 20" tires was tighter with less body roll. The LC justs soaks up and road vibration and is super smooth and even the tranny is smoother, i didnt get it in the sand yet so I cant comment on that. As much as I loved the 4runner ( i had 4 of them), the LC is by far the better vehicle in terms of drivability, comfort, power, fit and finish ect....doesnt compare and is in a different category. The LC feels bomb proof and I dont regret my decision one bit. Hope this helps

Congrats! I 'm currently in a 4Runner but when the time comes to move on to something else, it is going to be a 200 series, no matter how hard/long it takes me to find a good, used one.
