Heavy Duty Wipers for your knuckles

Hey Guys,

Wanted to share this with you. As you know I just finished rebuilding the front axle on my 80. Everything went back as was except that I used a heavy duty wiper from IPOR. When using these you dont use the felt or the rubber ring. You do still use the Rock ring, and metal ring and then this hard plastic wiper sits on the inner knuckle ball and keeps it clean. Can't really tell you yet how they will hold up but I have been driving the truck with them on since Monday and they are keeping it pretty clean. The only complaint I have is that they are a real muther to install. Couple of pics...

cool. I've been thinking about using those. So you just stretch them over to install?

Yes, they have a split in the ring. Simply "stretch over" axle and then let the begin. Warning they are very tricky to install.

I have them on the 62. No problems in over a year. And I will agree with Alan that install was a bitch.
