Headed to Uwharrie to Next Wednesday, the 5th.

Guys,

Me and 2 other guys are headed to Uwharrie on April 5th. Anybody want to join us. Also, what time does Uwharrie open on a daily basis?

Sounds fun. I am interested though I have to see how those days play out since they are weekdays.

Uwharrie doesn't really "open" on a daily basis. Once the trails open back up (April 1st at 8:00am) they are pretty much open around the clock (i.e. you can camp on the trail, go night wheeling, etc.) They do close it every once in a while for maintenance or conditions that cause trail damage. Best bet is to call and confirm before you go.

You going to have the new STT's on there for the ride? Make sure you take off your running boards when you head over there if you haven't already!

The running boards need to be removed. I need a quick release for those things, any ideas?

Don't understand the quick release question. Is that so you can take them off and put them back on easily??

Take them off and keep em off. I am going to try and make it up one weekend soon, got my motor mounts coming in from the last trip.

Yes, I need running boards. I have two smal children and they are learning to climb into the truck. In about two years, I can switch over to slee sliders, once the girls are bigger.

Understood. Taking them on and off is a royal PITA though.

You might want to consider the Slee slider steps for the 100. Give the footing / step of a running board but the protection of a slider. Lots of family guys wheel with those from what I have seen.

Take 64 West all the way to Asheboro
Once there, look for 49 West, stay on 49W when it splits from 64
Follow 49W for about 20 miles, looking for 109 South
Take 109S to Eldorado looking for Mullinix Road (SR1154)
Turn right on to Mullinix Road and drive about two miles to the "T" intersection with McLeans Creek Road 544.

If Mullinix road is the road off of 109 that leads to the actual UNF, then it is more like 1/4 mile. It would also be easier to just meet at the entrance parking lot, easiest way to be best of the trails would be backtracking from the shooting range.

How long do you plan to stay that Wednesday, I have school till 3:15, could be out there ready to ride at 4 if ya'll would still be there that late if you don't mind a youngster tagging along.

Cool, I'll be there in my beater 100!!!

I'm set directions-wise, I come in from the other direction on 109 and head in on Reservation Road.

Just let me know what time and where you guys are meeting and I will find you.

A last minute meeting has been called by my boss and I can not make it. There will be two heavily modified 80s there. Anyone is welcome. They are meeting there about 10 am on Wednesday.

We went to Uwharrie yesterday and had a balst. 2 80s with 35s and 3 inch lift kits went all over that place. They both had front and rear diff locks. I have never experienced any thing like that, those rigs were basically unstoppable.
