Head Up Rear - need valve adj. specs

I just put a used "newly rebuilt" head on my FJ60 2F and couldn't understand why I am getting so much blow by and crappy running. DA!! head hight = valve adj. does any one have the specs on adjustments and the sequence I need to get this beast done and prove to the wife I can make it run before she sells it out from under me. Have hi steer and spring over waiting, it just needs to run to justify keeping it. Don't let the wife put an ax to her
