Head unit question

I know there is a lot out there on being stuck with an 02 100 series with integrated nag and Ac controls. My question is whether you can just pull out the cd and tape players and put in a digital receiver, like pioneer, in that space and then fake it by selecting tape as audio source and then use the digital receiver for bt, iPod, sat radio etc. probably a dumb question, but I don't need a tape player and I would like bt and sat radio.

Do a search on BT45-TOY in the forum and a lot of your questions will be answered...My 2001 LX470 Mark Levinson system thinks that my bluetooth source is Disk 4 now. Works very nicely and the AC controls are unaffected.
