Hey guys, I have searched the forum but couldnt find an answer to my question.
My 80 series has the double batterie setup, meaning when I crank it, 24V got to the starter. Everything else inside the cap, headlight etc are 12V.

I want to boost my sound system with an AMP + Woofer. If I connect the 12V AMP to the batterie it will get fried when cranking. AMP needs around 60 ampere so I cant use the Power Output which is also availabe on the passenger side.

Whats the best solution?
Radio is also 12V.

How can I wire the bloody thing?

Thanks
Tobi

Your amp power lead should go directly to one battery. Which will only give you 12V regardless of how the starter circuit is wired. If in doubt, go ahead and run a multimeter on 1 battery while someone starts it.
