Yep I've seen this one. I was looking at a 60 series that he had for sale and this one was parked in the yard. I never really took a good look at it as it wasn't for sale at the time. I fairly close... so if your really interested I could probably arrange to have a look at it.

Thanks Ian!

That would be fantastic! I am a little concerned with the rust issues. The sellers name is Marvin, I will try to get his number.

i might be closer than ian and i could also take a look. i do not recognize it. if you get an address pm it to me. i could not look until later in the week.

btw, if it is the one for $12.5k on vancouver craigslist it has been listed for quite a long time i have seen comments somewhere (bc4x4?) that it is a rust bucket and the guy is trying to hit a home run.

No it's not that one. I have looked at that also and your right, it's a rust bucket. I will ask the owner for his approval. It's the one listed for $9500.00 on Vancouver craigslist.

Thanks

Mike

Whats the news on this one. If I could swing I would. Seems like a good buy with a body in fair shape, a healthy 3B and a 5 speed.

I had a look and sent some pictures to Ghetto Fireman. Cruiser as expected has been patched. Inner driver side channel has some rot. Truck seemed really good mechanically. 5 speed and transfer case just had a rebuild. Cruiser body is decent as is - but you should probably plan for a tub/fenders somewhere down the road and she be good to go for another 20 years...

too bad. It could be on the higher side of the price range if the body is no good. It's terrible that a 40's price is most dependant on its level of rust on the body. Heck I have a rebuilt 2F, rebuild rear end with ARB new steering, brakes, and OME. This is using all toyota parts but because of the rusty body if I sold it I couldn't ask for much
