I am swapping in a new brake master tomorrow evening (as long as it gets to Napa tomorrow) and will need to adjust my booster push rod and bleed my brakes. It is easy enough to do, but my wife will not be willing to pump my brakes and wait for me to adjust everything since it will be a new master. I do not totally trust letting gravity get all the air out so I need someone with a strong right leg. Anyone available to stop by for an hour or so this weekend to help me out?

One person job. It just take a little longer. Make sure you bleed the master cylinder before you install it.

Bench bleeding a mastercylinder

Have fitted a tube from each outlet back into its reservoir.

Air can get trapped within that rear chamber. If so, it can re-expanding each time you release the piston. This can prevent fresh fluid entering from the reservoir.

Push the piston in, then blocking the outlet from that rear chamber before releasing the piston? - This should force that chamber to suck fluid from its reservoir so that subsequent "pumps" should expell the air.

If you do this a few times it should successfully prime that chamber so that it pumps fluid just like the other one.

I think you see "splattering" from the end of the tube (when it is out of the fluid) because there is a tiny bit of air/fluid being pumped. But when you immerse the end of the tube, the pressure isn't sufficient to force bubbles out.

I bench bled and still need to do the actual lines. One of those not so fun weekends and no cruiser time.
