Hackett / Longwater Status

This is just a friendly reminder that neither Hackett or Longwater Gulch reach the South Platte River.

Here is some information from Predetor 4x4

Hackett is closed at Park County line. However, there is another route that curved off to the right that was closed long ago, but the carsonites are gone, and the initial berm has been worn down to what appears to be a water bar (This is the argument used to create a MVUM, since maps can't disappear and be destroyed...). This is where people are going down (all types of users from what I understand) since it "appears" as an open route. This route is STILL CLOSED

Park County and Predator have been moving forward, and they update us as further progress happens.

There was a bit of a hubub about a group being off the trail, it is now obvious that they had no intention of doing so.

Yeah, I have caught people down there on four wheelers and they were telling me about a route that is open for them and not full size OHV's. Just a matter of not knowing. I really hate the idea of MVUM's though, that's something someone is going to run away with and take too far, I'll fight those to the bitter end.
