Well I was doing some day dreaming on future mods for the FJ45. I got a price on a H55 from a buddy who works at a toyota dealer. He told me that list price is $2224.87 but could sell them for $1850. They do have them available in New England. If interested let me know and I can get you in touch with him.

dude you have a buddy at toyota? i might have missed this but is there a discount program set up for paying YT members? :D

Actually I have one thats a parts guy and one thats a service guy. Each at different RI dealers. I can see what I can do to get discounts set up to YT members.

Leaping Dear -

I was ordering some parts from Wellesley Toyota and asked Elder for availability and pricing on the H55. There are three available locally (Mansfield warehouse) and the suggested cost is $2224.87. The YT price he quoted was $1780.00, so that would save you a little more.

Our standing deal with Toyota of Wellesley is 25% off. Their margin on some items such as transmissions is lower than normal, so they cannot give us the full discount. Maybe they'll match it if that location is better for you.

Yeah he told me what the cost was on it and the dealer wasn't making all that much money on it. Thanks for the update. I will still see if I can get a YT discount though these dealers.

Damn.. those prices aren't bad, I'd love one of those for the Piggie someday but given that I already have the 350 I suspect I'd be better off with a NV4500 from GM.

That's a ways in the future though. ;)

Nice prices! lowest I saw in my short search was 1850.00 and then s&h.... Not happening for me right now though. Got my hands full with a few other things keeping the pockets empty. Good stuff to know for the future, thanks!

Let me know when you're ready, I've got an early chevy and a dodge (at least the dodge version might be for sale someday) and know a jeep guy that has an early chevy and may be going automatic.

cruiserparts.net in NH is selling them new for $1850.
